Within your first session we will do a thorough consultation to understand the jaw and where the pain is arising. The TMJ & headache relief massage targets common pain patterns to the jaw which includes treating neck and shoulder muscles as well as performing intra oral work. Frequently Asked Questions: What is TMJ and headache relief massage? This is a specialised therapeutic massage that focuses on the jaw, face, head, neck, and upper shoulders to reduce tension contributing to jaw pain, TMJ dysfunction, and headaches. It may include intra-oral techniques if suitable. What conditions can this treatment support? This treatment may help with jaw pain or clicking, teeth clenching or grinding, tension headaches, migraines, facial tension, neck stiffness, and stress-related jaw discomfort. What can I expect during the session, including intra-oral work? All techniques are explained and performed with informed consent. Gloves are worn for intra-oral work, pressure is gentle and controlled, and you will be appropriately draped at all times. Who should not receive this treatment? This treatment may not be suitable for clients with active oral infections, recent dental surgery, jaw fractures, certain neurological conditions, or when pain requires medical or dental assessment.
